Gregor Schneider
Gregor Schneider was born in Rheydt, Germany, in 1969, and studied at the Düsseldorf Academy of Arts, Münster Academy of Fine Arts, and Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts, Germany. He has had various solo shows around the world including: La Maison Rouge, Paris, France, 2008; Milwaukee Art Museum, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 2007; Bondi Beach, Australia, 2007; Artangel, London, 2004; and Kunsthalle, Hamburg, Germany, 2000. His work has been included in numerous group shows including Rockers Island - Olbricht Collection, Museum Folkwang, Essen, Germany, 2007, Universal Experience: Art, Life, and the Tourist’s Eye, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, and the Hayward Gallery, London, 2005.
