In Lloyd's first slide projection Princess Julia (1997), we follow the London DJ on her journey to and from work on the nightclub scene. The slides paint an evocative picture of her 1990s clubbing demimonde and combine the everyday with the theatrical, with some figures coyly acknowledging the camera while others are caught off guard. Throughout the series we are made to reconsider the way in which human bodies inhabit space and time.
