Ugo Rondinone
Ugo Rondinone was born in Brunnen, Switzerland, in 1964 and studied at Hochschule für Angewandte Kunst, Vienna. Rondinone has exhibited widely; solo shows include the 2007 52nd International Art Exhibition Biennale, Venice, Italy, with Urs Fischer, and Ugo Rondinone, air gets into everything even nothing & get up girl a sun is running the world, Art on the Plaza, New York, presented by Creative Time, New York. His third solo show at Sadie Coles HQ in 2006, titled My Endless Numbered Days, coincided with his first major museum show in the UK, at the Whitechapel Art Gallery, London. An extensive catalogue raisonnée was published at the same time, titled Zero Built a Nest in My Navel, London, Whitechapel Gallery and JRP Ringier, 2006. His work has featured in various group exhibitions, including Laughing in a Foreign Language, Hayward Gallery, London, and Martian Museum of Terrestrial Art, Barbican Art Gallery, London, both in 2008. Ugo Rondinone lives and works in New York and Zürich.
