Agnes Scherer in
Berserk & Pyrrhia, Contemporary and Medieval Art

Frac Île-de-France, Le Plateau, Paris
22 March - 20 July 2025

The exhibition Berserk & Pyrrhia makes visible the circulation of medieval images and their subsequent appropriation, bringing medieval and contemporary art together. Medieval works are displayed on the Plateau and in the Reserves, thanks to loans from the rich heritage collections of the Île-de-France region, while works by contemporary artists, in turn, engage with medieval heritage by taking over the region's historical monuments, thus continuing this intergenerational and transhistorical dialogue.

Featuring the works of:

Nils Alix-Tabeling, Carlotta Bailly-Borg, Jacopo Belloni, Bernard Berthois-Rigal, Camille Bernard, Peter Briggs, Aëla Maï Cabel, Rose-Mahé Cabel, L.
