“A Kind of Language: Storyboards and Other Renderings for Cinema” is an exhibition curated by Melissa Harris that examines the creative process leading up to the making of a film by exploring storyboards and other materials such as moodboards, drawings and sketches, scrapbooks and notebooks, annotated scripts, and photographs.
Set up in the Osservatorio spaces, the project includes over eight hundred elements created between the late 1920s and 2024 by more than 50 authors including directors, cinematographers, artists, graphic designers, animators, choreographers and other figures linked to film and video production.
