The publication Tendered, explores the filmic practice of Karimah Ashadu (British/Nigerian, b. 1985), the winner of the Silver Lion for Promising Young Artist at the 2024 Venice Biennale, whose work engages with contemporary manifestations of Nigerian history borne by its people and landscapes. Being the first comprehensive monograph dedicated to the artist, this detailed overview of more than a decade of works (2012–25) including Ashadu’s newly commissioned film MUSCLE, features newly commissioned essays, conversations, and a collection of synopses documenting her video installations.
